Engagement Model

Engagement Model which are offered are detailed below. Both the Fixed Price Model and the Time and Material Model offer a variety of important benefits. As you will discover, your choice will depend, to a large extent, on the complexity and length of your project. One benefits clearly defined, less complicated projects. Businesses which are large in size and have complex problems, or a complicated set of problem will benefit from the other.

Fixed Price Model

The fixed price model of operation is well-suited for developing solutions which are already well known and understood. These types of projects are considered low to medium in terms of complexity. Executions of these projects typically leave little room for changes and/or additions. A key component to the success of this model relies on active cooperation from the client. As the client is knowledgeable about their business domain, they likely have a good understanding of the development process of your software. To be most effective this model requires timely feedback and decisions from the client.

The process followed will be along these lines:

• Client will provide clear specifications, delivered in document form. Having these important details will leave little room for error and will benefit all concerned.
• LTech India will review the specifications and clarify any uncertainties with the client before proceeding.
• Once we are all on the same page, we will prepare a proposal which will include a proposed timeline and suggested fixed price.
• LTech India will also provide an analysis which will document the scope of the project and highlight possible risks during the execution phase of the project.

You and LTech India will enter into an agreement which covers documentation, application design, all visual aspects, testing, change management, designated support period, milestones, additional timelines as well as pertinent commercial details. The project is executed per the agreement.

If the client needs assistance with regard to documenting, clarifying or changing specifications, we will work with them, for a pre-determined fee, to complete this phase of the project.

Benefits of working with the fixed price model include (but are not restricted to) the following:

• As one might expect, the name says it all. Everything is clearly spelled out and agreed upon at the outset.
• Risk to both parties is very limited because scope, price and timelines are fixed before work is begun. Risk reduction, it should be understood, is largely based on the amount of effort that precedes the agreement phase.
• LTech India offers business consulting services during the specification stage to ensure that detailing is clear and accurate.

Because everything is agreed upon in advance, there is little room or time to implement additional new ideas once the project is underway.

Time and Material Model

When working with the time and material model, as the name clearly suggests, the client can expect to be charged based on all of the resources which are required and for the documented time that our staff spends on the project.

When deciding if the time and material model is the way for you to proceed there are a few things you might want to take into consideration. Time and material is the best method to employ for projects which are expected to be longer in duration. Additionally, this model is best suited where specifications are not defined in advance, but rather evolve as the implementation phase progresses. This model is also well-suited for large-scale and highly complex projects.

As you are aware, the objective of any software project is to find a quick, effective resolution to a specific business problem or set of problems. The time and material model allows the software service provider and the client to work together to arrive at a mutually agreed upon solution. Our focus will be to provide the absolute best possible solution to fit with the business solution. Our many years of experience and level of expertise will be instrumental in completing this objective. Unlike the fixed price model, this model focuses more on the solution while the particular specifications evolve during implementation to provide a good fit with the business solution.

This process will have a starting point from a variety of stages; post-specification, pre-specification, post-architectural, etc. The scenario, which should be comprehensive to be sure, will involve establishing clear problem definition, equally clear solution definition, in-depth research, a complete and thorough business analysis, specifications, first-rate visual mapping, detailed documentation, coding, change management, testing procedures and timelines, roll out and followed up with support.

The beginning of the project is usually quite involved and complex; work estimation for each stage is established at this point and that takes time. L Tech India will work closely with you to identify the scope and prioritize each individual element. We will prepare a work estimate for that stage, define the promised deliverables and clearly state the assumptions involved.

The actual implementation of the individual elements is begun with a provision for change management and assumption updates. Work is charged based upon an already agreed upon hourly rate and based upon the quality of resources used. L Tech India and the client agree upon a change management practice and provide room for this practice.

Our successful and proven project management experience will ensure work is implemented in the most efficient and effective way possible. Every effort will be extended to reduce time and cost over runs.

Build and Transfer

Build – We will assist you in complete facility set-up as well as providing total staffing for the offshore development facility. At the same time we will be devoted to establishing knowledge transfer. Transfer - We will take care of all components of registering a new offshore facility for our customers; have complete responsibility of transferring assets and handing over operations. We complete the process with speed, accuracy and keep risks to an absolute minimum. Everyone can benefit from experience and expertise when embarking on a new venture; we will stand at your side until you are comfortable and ready to “fly solo”.

Hybrid Model

A major portion of project is on a Fixed Price basis and at the same time resources are deployed on Time and Material basis. Adopting such a model enables the client to maximize their ROI without compromising any aspect of the project itself.
