Futures market is very volatile in nature and being away from PC, even for a couple of minutes can be very costly. The company wanted to provide an option to their customers to be able to view quotes streaming and trade on their Handhelds.
- Solution
The application provides option to users to view quotes in real time and trade Futures instruments. The main challenge technically was to stream quotes in real-time. To overcome this problem, intermediary servers are placed for Quotes as well as Trading. Both these servers send only the most relevant information to the handhelds. The handheld devices connect to trade server using SSL.
